My name is Grecu Ionut, born in Romania. I am a visual artist and self-taught abstract painter working primarily with acrylic and material experimentation. My work explores the tension between instinctive gesture and visual structure, where control and imperfection exist in constant dialogue.
From an early age, I developed a deep connection with abstract art. Even during periods when time and space were limited, painting remained a constant presence in my life. The absence of formal academic training allowed me to shape a personal visual language, free from rigid conventions, enabling my work to evolve in an organic, intuitive, and authentic way.
My work takes form through abstract compositions defined by earthy palettes, deep tones, and moody atmospheres. These works are conceived both as unique original paintings and as images designed for fine art prints and contemporary interiors. Each project develops through a process of observation, layering, and compositional control, with close attention to balance, rhythm, and surface.
Alongside physical painting, I work with professional digital design and production tools, refining my artworks for print and visual presentation. This dual approach allows me to operate between art, design, and visual communication, ensuring consistency between the original work and its final printed or digital form.
My artistic focus is not on trends, but on creating images with presence, coherence, and lasting value. Through essential forms, imperfect textures, and a controlled visual language, my work aims to establish a quiet but enduring dialogue with the viewer.
